Welcome to another exciting school year at WLMS! As always, I am excited to begin a new school year at Wilde Lake! This is my 6th year as a Physical Education teacher at Wilde Lake.  This is my 12th year overall teaching. Last year I took off to stay at home with my son, Kayden.

Prior to teaching, I attended Frostburg State University and obtained my undergraduate degree in Health and Physical Education in the spring 2001. While at Frostburg, I also played Women's Soccer and was even voted as captain my senior year, what a honor! After graduating, I began searching for a job in the Health and Physical Education field.

My first job was in Charles County, MD teaching at Lackey High School for 3 years. At Lackey, I taught Aerobics, Advanced PE, Health and Fitness for Life.  My next 3 years, I taught at North Point High School. I taught Aerobics, Water safety, First Aid, Health, and Fitness for Life.  While teaching high school, I also coached soccer and was the department chair for 3 years. I have always been passionate and dedicated to the profession, I never once thought I could be a middle school teacher! After the second year teaching middle school, I grew respect and admiration for middle schoolers! I love Physical Education and I hope to pass over the love and fun in PE to your child.

Personally, I live in Waldorf, MD. Yes, that is a bit over an hour commute each way but as I tell everyone, "I really love my job to drive this far!" I have an older, married sister who has 2 boys ages 7 and 5 and a 3 year old girl.  I also have a younger brother who has a 3 year old old son. I got married in May of 2012.  My husband and I welcomed our first child, Kayden on July 29th, 2013. He brings us so much joy and just turned 1.

Again, I am excited to welcome a new school year! I hope you enjoyed reading a little bit about me! Enjoy the photo of me, my Dad, and my husband on our wedding day!
